2-3 Rotary meeting

he Chickasha Rotary Club met February 3, 2011 following one of the largest blizzards in recent Oklahoma history. Attendance was much lower than usual with 15-17 Rotarians in attendance. Officials from the Sam Noble Museum of History in Norman had to cancel due to the inclement weather. Rotarian David Sikes led a brief discussion about Scouting and its importance and connections to Chickasha including a number of local Rotarians who are active helping our various troops here. Scout Month was noted and upcoming featured speakers will be promoting it to Rotary throughout February. Due to lower attendance members and guests were given the opportunity to give announcements. Regular visiting Bricktown Rotarian Harry Meister from the Chickasha Leader announced that the Bricktown Club is hosting it's annual Days of Wine and Rotary event Sat. May 14th held this year at the newly opened Devon Boathouse near downtown OKC. Meister will have tickets available soon at meetings or at the newspaper office. Updates on improving health of Rotarians Steve LaForge and Rev. David Hall were announced. The meeting ended with the recitation of the 4-Way Test.
