Developing the Energy of America's Wind Corridor
President John Gorton called the July 12, 2018 meeting to order. Prayer was led by Rot. Kory Kirkland and pledge by Rot. Charlie Burruss. Rot. Mitch Williams led the club in the song "Summer Breeze". The club had one guest today, Mike Van Sickle, with FNBT. Catering was provided by Interurban. Pres. Gorton presented a 9-year Perfect Attendance Award to Rot. Pauline Garrett.

The Rotarian of the Day was Steve LaForge, and in his absence, Treasury Sharon Bowman introduced the speaker, Mark Yates. Mark is the Oklahoma Director for the Wind Coalition, the leading advocacy organization representing the wind industry in Oklahoma. Mark is a graduate of East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where he holds a Bachelors degree in History and a Masters in Secondary Administration. Mark lives in Edmond, OK with his wife, Stacy, and daughter. They are very active in the community and with their church.
