The meeting for July 19, 2018 was called to order by President John Gorton.  The prayer was led by Rot. Ronnie Bogle, pledge by Rot. Ron Sanders, and a rousing song of "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Rot. Mitch Williams.  Catering was provided by Billy Sims BBQ.  Guests for the day were Josh Epperson, Mike Van Sickle and Windy Williams.  The program was Josh Gaskamp with the Noble Research Institute.

Josh Gaskamp with Noble Research Institute discussing feral hogs.
 
Josh Gaskamp is the technical consultation manager for Noble Research Institute. Gaskamp serves as a wildlife and range consultant in the producer relations program.  He joined the Noble Research Instituted in 2007 after working as a hunting guide and gun-dog trainer for the King Ranch.
 
His areas of interest include wildlife habitat improvement, range management, white-tailed deer management, fisheries management, plant identification, prescribed fire and feral hog impacts. Gashkamp's research on drop-nets as a potential tool for feral hog control led him to develop the BoarBuster(TM) suspended corral trap. 
 
Josh grew up in Brenham, Texas and has both a Master and Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University.
