9-14-2012 Rotary Club of Chickasha board meeting

President Cody White filed the following report after the Sept. 14, 2012 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha.

Fellow Rotarians:

The board met today for our September board meeting.  Below is a summary of important topics covered:

• John Jernigan gave a report from the Audit committee.  Our finances look good from an accounting standpoint.
• The Board voted to require all checks over $250 to have two signatures, as a standard accounting security measure.
• Kory Kirkland reported that the meals contracts have been returned and we are in good shape for another year.  W e will be able to maintain the $9 lunch rate for this contract period.  Caterers will include Jake's Rib, The Rush Springs Bed & Breakfast, and Dunn's Food Center.  Dunn's will be catering three different meals:  chicken, brisket, and ham.  
• Lynn Bailey was approved as a new member by the board.
• A decision was made to not have a regular meeting on December 13th because it is the president's 39th birthday.  (No, really because our Christmas banquet is that Tuesday, December 11th)
