Program
The program was presented by Debra Leffler, a Business Service Liaison with the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). She coordinates with employers in eight counties, including Grady. Her role is to help people with disabilities find good jobs, and to help businesses who are willing to hire them. She provided a number of information sheets about specific services provided by DRS, including to those with visual impairments or who are hard of hearing.

Rotarian Curtis Awbrey introduces the speaker.

Leffler stressed that every person is or can be affected by a disability at any point in their life. Her goal is to help "individuals that society—maybe even some of us—have said no to."
DRS has an office at 10th and Choctaw with three full-time counselors available to assist with physical and mental difficulties. Leffler also leads the IMPACT team, which is a quarterly workforce-driven meeting designed to inform employers and listen to their needs. Normally these meetings are held in Lawton, but the April 29th meeting will be held in Chickasha.
