Dr. Ryan Knapp, along with other representatives of Grady Memorial Hospital, discussed the GMH Foundation and its upcoming golf tournament fundraiser. The August 11, 2022 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha was called to order by President Lewis Knisley. Rot. Mitch Williams led the club in singing "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" by Simon and Garfunkel.
As Rotarian of the Day, Knisley introduced the representatives from the Grady Memorial Hospital Foundation. Dr. Ryan Knapp, M.D., promoted the 4th annual GMH Foundation Golf Tournament, which he oversees. The 2022 tournament will be held Friday, October 21, at The Club (formerly the Country Club).

Dr. Knapp stressed the importance of supporting healthcare as well as other services in the area. He said that healthcare, education, and other entities working together was necessary in order to have a community.
Dr. Knapp described some of the investment priorities of the organization. He said that GMH was always trying to look forward and anticipate needs, and find longer-term solutions. Recently the foundation had purchased new breast imaging equipment, which filled a void both locally and regionally. He said there were patients coming from outside the county to make use of these services. The next major priority, Knapp continued, will be to obtain new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. MRI is becoming increasingly important for identifying non-skeletal issues.
Dr. Knapp also took a moment to introduce a new member of the GMH staff, Dr. Sibin Nair, M.D. Dr. Nair is originally from Houston, graduated from the University of Texas - Austin, and completed his residency in Searcy, Arkansas. Dr. Nair said that while in Searcy he developed an appreciation for small towns, and was excited to start working in Chickasha.

Afterwards, Dr. Knapp fielded questions from members about the Foundation and the medical industry in general at present. Most questions concerned health insurance.
A lunch of chicken alfredo was provided by Interurban of Chickasha.
