School Foundation is in need of mentors for the Gentlemen of Distinction program next week. 

Rotary Run is April 2nd, 2016. There will a lot of changes to the run this year.  

 

 

Rotarian of the Day Jerry Standridge who introduced his program Todd Love with Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program.  Works for John Dear as a territory manager.  Moved to Oklahoma about 10 years ago.  

It was created in Michigan State University; first program 1965.  Overall OALP Objective  develop future leaders for Oklahoma agriculture sector.  It is a 20 month program with thirteen seminars meeting in many different locations.  

Funding comes from corporate donors; Alumni, Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation; OSU, Taxes, and class participation fees, and other various supporters.  

 

They travel together as a group and learner leadership skills.  They learn how to make presentations, learn about cattle, how agriculture can have an impact on oil fields.   They look at culture, government and the like especially with international studies.  they have been China, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, West Germany, Germany, and many more location. They learn about the culture but also do community service.  To become a participant you need to fill out a multi page application. The average of class size is around 24 people.  It costs $2,000.00 to be a class member. The class is made up of 25 to 45 year olds.
