Chickasha Rotary recognized outstanding members from the past year and swore in the new Board of Directors for the 2023-24 term.

 
The Rotary Club of Chickasha met June 29, 2023. Rotarian Mitch Williams led the club in singing "God Bless the USA".
 
In his opening comments, outgoing president Lewis Knisley included the following highlights of the past year:
  • $2,300 in total was raised for the Shop with a Cop program from fees and fines. $1,000 was donated in the fall and the remaining $1,300 would be presented next week.
  • 28 bikes were given away through the Rotary Roll Call program.
  • The clothes closet at Bill Wallace Early Childhood Center, funded by a district grant, was assembled and opened.
  • The Rotary Run 5K raised over $10,000.
 
Rotarians Ann Manchester, Jim Cowan, David Sikes, and Lewis Knisley are recognized for their service on the 2022-23 Board of Directors. Heather Roehrick and Zack Bowles, not present, were also recognized.
 
Other recognition for outstanding service was awarded to Mitch Williams, for providing music each week; Ron Sanders, for his work as RYLA coordinator; and Gerron Smith, for overseeing the Rotary Run committee and Rotary Roll Call program. Kory Kirkland, not present, also received recognition for his role in selecting Dan Proctor scholarship recipients.
 
David, Jim, Lewis, Ron, and Ann received Perfect Attendance awards.
 
Lewis Knisley receives the Rotarian of the Year Award for 2022-23. The Rotarian of the Year Award is given based on member votes each year.
