The Chickasha Community Theatre gave Rotary a peek inside their ongoing production of "The Sound of Music".The Rotary Club of Chickasha met Thursday, November 16. Rotarian Mitch Williams led the club in singing "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer"—as well as "Happy Birthday" for Rotarian Bill McVey.
President Jim Cowan updated the club on the Rotary Christmas Party, and Festival of Light volunteers.
As Rotarian of the Day, Jason Jarnagin introduced the speakers: some of the cast of Chickasha Community Theater's production of "The Sound of Music", as well as the director, Shannan Bilyeu. The cast performed "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?"
Following the performance, the speakers made some announcements on behalf of CCT. First, following the Christmas parade on Dec. 2, there will be a benefit concert for CCT at the Washita Theater. The Imaginaries will be performing. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Secondly, they distributed the schedule for the 2024 season, during which CCT will celebrate its 30th anniversary. The full schedule can be seen on the CCT website, and includes:

Cast member Kristy Jarnagin also expressed gratitude for local support, which has enabled the theater to make much-needed structural and technological renovations over the years.
