Grants

The Rotary Club of Chickasha supports worthwhile community causes through Club Grants. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are intended to fund specific projects or programs administered by other local nonprofits.

Funding for these grants is supported by the Rotary Run 5K and other miscellaneous fundraisers throughout the year.

Club Grant Criteria

  • Grant requests are not to exceed $2,000 (except in extraordinary circumstances).
  • Funding is subject to availability of funds. The Board of Directors may choose to grant less than the amount requested at its discretion.
  • Your request must be supported by a current member of the Rotary Club of Chickasha, verified with their signature.
A full list of guidelines is included on Page 1 of the application form.

Sponsorships

Generally, requests for sponsorship by the club as a whole should be submitted in the form of a grant application. Otherwise, sponsorship packets received by the club will be shared with members, who may then choose to sponsor individually.

District Grant Projects

Chickasha Rotary applies for an annual grant from Rotary District 5770 to fund special one-time projects, often in conjunction with other local organizations. These projects are tangible, lasting gifts that align with Rotary International's seven areas of focus.

Recent projects include:
  • Santa's Sleigh at the Festival of Light
  • New Playground at Resurrection House
  • Clothes Closet at Bill Wallace Early Childhood Center

Annual Fines Donation

If you attend a Chickasha Rotary meeting, you'll see the Sergeant-at-Arms collecting "fines" from members for various minor, often frivolous, infractions. At the end of the fiscal year, the funds collected from these fines are donated to a cause of the club president's choosing.

Recent recipients include:
  • Chickasha Public School Foundation
  • Chickasha Police Department/Shop With a Cop
  • Chickasha Animal Shelter
