Bailey Gordon of Allied Arts of Oklahoma City was our speaker. She is the daughter of Rotarian Phil Gordon
Guest speaker at the 1-13-2011 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha was Bailey Gordon, daughter of Rotarian Gordon.
Bailey works for Allied Arts of Oklahoma City, a non-profit group that supports 20 arts organizations in Central Oklahoma.
She said Allied Arts raises awareness of the arts and promotes arts education throughout central Oklahoma.
Bailey explained the numerous ways to give personally and as a corporation.
She passed out information about the OKCITYCARD that you get for a $50 donations that provides discounts at more than 160 arts, retail, sports and restaurant partners.
Bailey is a CHS and OSU graduate.
She said Allied Arts was formed in the 1970s and raised almost $40 million in 40 years.
Guests at the meeting included Rotarian George Thomas' daughter Michelle and visiting Rotary Harry Meister.
Billy McVey said Rotarians were need every Friday morning to greet freshmen students at Chickasha High School.
Dick McCalla said information has been sent to high school counselors about the annual Dan Proctor scholarship. Bret Burns is the charm of the 4-Way test contest this year.
The meeting was adjourned after recitation of the 4-Way test.
