3-13-2014 Meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha

The Grady County 4-H Engineering Club demonstrated a Future City project at the 3-13-2014 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha. gave a presentation on the recently complete future city project. Club members include Steve Evans, Blake White and Timothy Pollman. The March 13, 2014 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chicksha opened with a prayer, pledge and song.
Guests included Aaron Hunter and visiting Rotarians Nadine and Merrilll Burruss of the Geary-Hinton Club.
Prayer concerns include Tom Rose and Amy Sutoon.
Remember, March is matching points month for donations to the Rotary Foundation. It's a quick way to build him the numbers needs to achieve Paul Harris Fellow status. The matching deal ends March 1. See Christy Shebester for how many Paul Harris points you currently have.
The District 5770 district conference is May 2-4 in Medicine Park.
The club is looking for three high school juniors to send to RYLA this summer. The dates are June 16-20.
President Greg Elliott reminded board members of the Friday, March 14 meeting.
Nona Simmons introduced members of he Grady County 4-H Engineering who gave a presentation on the recently complete future city project.

Our guest speaker was Mary Means of the Noble Foundation, which was founded by Lloyd Noble in 1945 with a $1 million endowment. He left an additional $10 million to the foundation, upon his death a few years later.
The Noble Foundation mission has four main areas of concern, in safeguarding the soil and supporting farmers and ranchers. They include advancement of agriculture, sustainability, education and philanthropy.
The foundation is located on a massive campus in Ardmore. It currently has 370 employees and the endowment has grown to more than $1 billion. Its work includes field day, consultation and research.
The run committee held a brief meeting after the regular meeting adjourned following recitation of the Rotary 4-Way test.
