6-13-2013 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha
The June 13, 2013 Meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha kicked off with a prayer, pledge and a song – Y-M-C-A.
Former member Duane Jones, back after a year of world travel and mission work, was re-inducted into the club. His sponsor was Perry Ramsey.
President Cody White announced a prospective member – Police Chief Eddie Adamson.
Kory Kirkland announced the Rotary Run generated a little more than $10,000 in revenue and more than $5000 in profit.
Board meeting set on June 14. Installation banquet on June 27 at CVTC.
Jim (TV) Allen introduced Rotarian and Chickasha Area YMCA Director Nathan Donald as our guest speaker.
Nathan talked about the many summer programs currently at the Y, including summer day camp, swimming lessons, and t-ball.
The Summer Day Camp activities include sports, arts & crafts, swimming, field trips and a weekly trip to library to promote summer reading. Nathan said the Y’s financial assistance program makes it possible for all families to participate.
The meeting adjourned after recitation of the Rotary Club of Chickasha.
