President Brad chaired the meeting.  Kory led in a nice rendition of "be my baby tonight" with a country drawl.  John Mosley stood in for his son Chris Mosley as sergeant at arms and fined Bob Hays $1 for being present.  Bob paid his fine in change.  John collected several dollars in attempt to surpass his son.
 
Next week we will vote for new officers.
 
Liz Taylor, Grady County Extension was the speaker for the day.  Liz gave an overview of what she does and what the people in her office do.  
 
The Morrill Act of 1862 first established land grant universities.  OSU, Langston, and NEO are land grant universities.  The Smith-Lever Act of 1914 established Cooperative Extension Service as the vehicle toy take the research from the Land-grant universities to the people.  Whistle stops were stops County Agents made from town to town on trains.  Field days or crop days were started to demonstrate research to local farmers.  Today there are extension offices in all 77 counties of Oklahoma.
